| MASH 47 offered MASHers a pre-official park opening hashing tour through three of the five newly designed parks built to complement the new World Cup stadium in west Seoul. The weather cooperated wonderfully as all enjoyed a sunny albeit slightly windy day! Daddy Long Legs and Snuggles took the runners and walkers on routes that showed off some of the highlights of what will certainly be fantastic park areas that many of us will want to return to again later. Despite a brief delay at the beginning, MASHers enjoyed the outing tremendously. The runners were treated to their first subway ride as part of their route and all finished about the same time! The on-after was in a nice covered setting not too far from the cars. Hares were acknowledged, welcomings, crimes, etc were all given their libation reward in short order. Snuggles was recognized for crossing the 40 MASH hashes milestone and for putting up with yours truly. A quick first verse of Swing Lo was executed and then everyone mixed and ate Snuggle's delicious pasta while picking up their Dutch Ball tickets! All in all, it was another fun family outing with a number of firsts to add to our list! |
