MASH Hash # 46 Report
| MASH 46 was another brilliant hash hared by Large Member, Dances with Dogs, and their son Grunde in Northwest Seoul -- reusing an area we previously hashed in two years ago! Despite the weather, the MASH faithful turned out for another fine outing amongst the rolling hills draped in moody clouds this time around! Large Member once again managed to weave a maze of a route that outsmarted most of the runners while entertaining everyone. The worthwhile runners' and walkers' routes included a tour of the Gupabal Zoo -- complete with three "Chinese" deer, a herd of goats, and a howling dog farm!
The on-after was in a wonderfully secluded spot where MASH thanked our dauntless hares, welcomed a couple of love-starved Italians and a trio of Norwegians, punished assundry crimes, and recognized some of the pack for their accomplishments! Roadrunner earned her fortieth after finishing first in her category at the Kyungju Cherry Blossom Marathon the day before, Fireball earned his twenty MASH hashes patch and would turn six a day later, Ewa Najder was recognized for her inspired "checking" even if it wasn't right, and Zuzanna & Co-Pilot were acknowledged for having been beautiful princesses the night before! After closing with a quick first verse of Swing Low, the grill was put to use! Most everyone was able to get a little something of the sausages and pasta that were shared around without JohnnyWalker getting too many free snacks. It never quite rained but the misty, cloudy afternoon provided a very moody setting as friends and new acquaintances mixed and enjoyed a few minutes out of the noise that is Seoul. Thanks again to Large Member, Dances with Dogs, and Grunde for standing in for MASH 46!
MASH will have at least one table at the up-coming Dutch Ball so let us know whether you want to be part of the group dancing, eating, and drinking the night away on April 27th! Who knows? Maybe you will be the lucky winner of one of the major door prizes like a round-trip business class ticket to Amsterdam!
